Edda Board

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

After a long connection with the practice of Yoga, Edda graduated from the IYTA (International Yoga Teachers Association) in 2010 and has been teaching classes ever since.

Edda soon came to the realisation that true yoga is not a physical action, it is a state of mind we have while doing everything. This state of mind exists as we quieten down that 24/7 talkative, judgemental, comparative part of our mind.

Edda believes that our objective in a yoga practice is wellness, peace, harmony, contentment, balance and health, and the largest factor in achieving this is not a “busy” physical practice but a slow, steady practice infused with the qualities of mindfulness. This has lead to comprehensive teacher training in Ayurveda (sister science of Yoga), Pranayama, Mindfulness, Meditation and in-depth training in Yin Yoga.

Edda offers group classes, private classes and dedicated workshops, and within the last few years has extended this out to offering wellness retreats in Bali and around Australia.

For the past 7 years Edda has continued her connection with the IYTA as both a teacher training course coordinator, lecturer, mentor and committee member sharing and supporting the many students on their teacher training path.

"My classes are an eclectic mix of all this, all that I am, all that I understand, my travels, my teachings, my learning, and are open to everyone. I look forward to welcoming you onto the mat." - Edda
